For the more adventurous, we offer tailor-made treks. These can be individually designed from a selection of routes and accommodation varying from hotels to Agrotourism B&B and new in this spring ….. the Tipi! Scroll down for an example itinerary.

One week trek – 5 days riding – 5-6 hours a day
A seven day itinerary comprising forest trek, through the villages and out onto the Akamas coast. Accommodation varies from forest hostel, luxury country hotel and tipi. As always, your clobber is transported for you – so you can ride light and free as a bird!

1 night – 2 days riding – 5 hours a day
Go back to nature – this ride takes you through the volcanic valleys and pine clad hills of the Paphos Forest. Two days riding with mouflon, eagles, wild flowers, your horse and the view. Stay in the heart of the forest at the traditional forest hostel.

Week trek - sample itinerary
Day 1
Collection
from Paphos airport and accommodation at the Paradisos Hills hotel – meet the
horses, swim, brandy sours, supper.
Ride to
Stavros tis Psokas forest station. Through pine valleys and mountain trails with
fabulous views across the Paphos forest.
Meet Land Rover back up for picnic en route. Stay in forest chalet.
Morning
forest ride to Annadiou. Picnic in
the forest en route and tea and medals at village tavern!
Ride through river and volcanic valley to stables.
Stay Paradisos Hills Hotel.
Day ride via
Ayios Merkourios picnic site to meet Land Rover for picnic. Ride back via
Kinousa, past old copper mine – wonderful views of
Trek through
citrus orchards and olive groves to Evretou reservoir for lunch, then through
the villages to Drousia on the Akamas Penninsula.
Stay in local Agrotourism B&B or Tipi (wigwam).
Ride to
Day 7
Trek back to
the reservoir for lunch and home through the deserted Turkish villages,
abandoned in 1974. Wonderful views over the valleys and a clear view of the
African and Eurasian tectonic plates and volcanic, fir clad mountains of the
Troodos massif. Stay at the Paradisos Hotel.
Day 8
Breakfast and transfer to Paphos airport.
3 day trek - sample itinerary
Day 1
Ride through forest, through river and along valley to meet Land Rover for lunch overlooking Evretou reservoir. Ride through villages onto the Akamas peninsula. Dinner and night in tipi.
Ride to Lara Bay where the turtles lay their eggs. Lunch on the beach. Afternoon ride across the Akamas with spectacular views.
Stay in tipi.
Ride across the Akamas and goat grazing country, through villages to lunch at the reservoir and back to the stables via the deserted Turkish villages, abandoned in 1974. Enjoy the wonderful views over the valleys and marvel at the clear view of the join between the African and Eurasian tectonic plates and volcanic, fir clad mountains of the Troodos massif.
